Native Rimu: Melamine Finish.

Real Rimu: Real rimu veneer. Attractive finish but a lot softer than the Melamines, therefore more care must be taken with equipment. Scratches easily.

Fijian kauri: Real Fijian Kauri Ply. Tougher than the Real Rimu but not as hard as the Melamines.
